From the streets of New York City to the battlefields of Southwest Asia, from elite military special operations to the halls of the CIA — Hiram Resto brings 21 years of military discipline and a lifetime of global experience to every consultation.
Originally from New York City and now based in Tampa, Florida, Hiram Resto's story begins with a commitment to service that few can match. At a young age, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he would spend 12 years mastering some of the military's most demanding specialties — Recon Marine, Anti-Tank Assault Gunman, and Infantry Unit Leader. He earned the Combat Action Ribbon in Southwest Asia and was recognized with the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
After his distinguished Marine Corps career, Hiram transitioned to the United States Air Force, joining the elite Pararescue community — one of the most selective specialties in the entire U.S. military. As an Aircrew Pararescue Craftsman assigned to Special Operations Command, he earned his Special Forces Free Fall Jumpmaster qualification, the Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal, ultimately retiring as a Master Sergeant after 21 combined years of honorable service.
Following his military retirement in 2004, Hiram embarked on a distinguished career as a CIA officer, applying decades of operational expertise across the world's most complex environments. He retired from the CIA in 2016, closing a chapter of service that spanned over three decades.
The precision, strategic planning, and flawless execution that defined Hiram's military and intelligence career are the same qualities he brings to travel consulting today. Whether coordinating a complex multi-city itinerary across three continents or identifying the optimal credit card strategy to unlock a business class redemption, Hiram approaches every engagement with the discipline and thoroughness of a seasoned operator. Having visited over 90 countries — many more than once — his mission is simple: help everyday people travel the world the way they always dreamed, without paying full price.
